Are you looking for new ways to engage students in productive, deliberative conversations in your classroom? Are you interested in connecting with other teachers who are thinking about ways to instruct a new generation of citizens? Have you used National Issues Forums materials to enrich instruction or teach about public issues? Do you have ideas, suggestions, or experiences that could improve the use of NIF materials in the classroom?

If so, we invite you to explore the Teachers’ Forum. You may start a conversation or continue a discussion related to teaching with National Issues Forums materials.

We are also seeking sample lessons or unit plans that involve the use of NIF materials. Creative ideas and essays exploring new ways of using these materials in classrooms or with students are welcome.

We hope you will find this forum a useful addition to your teaching resources, as well as a way to connect with other teachers using NIF and deliberation in the classroom. Your comments and suggestions will influence the development of this site and will be shared with the writers of NIF materials.
